The recruitment is done under the Apprentices Act of 1961 and offers apprenticeships in various government departments, boards, corporations, and offices throughout the state. The main motive of this program is to provide practical training and real-life work experience to ITI graduates who are seeking work.

These apprenticeships offer invaluable hands-on experience that complements ITI training and improves their long-term employability. To qualify for these positions, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria which is as follows -

  • Candidates should be bonafide residents of Haryana
  • Candidates must have completed their 10th standard education within the state
  • They should have obtained their ITI certification from a government-recognized Industrial Training Institute located in either Haryana or Chandigarh under NCVT/SCVT guidelines.

The application process is straightforward – interested candidates need to register on the official Apprenticeship India portal at http://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Once registered, they can browse available positions across different departments and apply according to their qualifications and interests.

"An apprenticeship on your resume demonstrates practical experience and workplace readiness," explained Rajiv Kumar, a career counselor specializing in technical education. "Many employers prefer candidates who have completed formal apprenticeships because they require less on-the-job training."

The duration of these apprenticeships typically ranges from one to two years, depending on the trade and department. During this period, apprentices receive a monthly stipend as prescribed under the Apprentices Act.
