National Librarian Day was celebrated today in Shaheed Dalbir Singh Government College Kharkhoda under the guidance and chairmanship of Principal Dr. Tarana Negi. Today, a tree plantation activity was organized in the college on this day. Many plants were presented by the library department in the college, and they were planted. This activity was organized by the in-charge of the library department, Dr. Kirti Khatri. She said that this special day is organized in the memory of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan. Dr. S.R. Ranganathan is called the father of library science. Both the library and the librarian have special importance in student life. Books are the best friend of the students and are also the most powerful medium of learning. The librarian also introduces the students to things like finding books in the library, making good use of time, staying in discipline, etc. Senior professors Dr. Kiran Saroha, Dr. Mandeep Kumari, Dr. Rajneesh and Mrs. Reenu were present on this occasion.
