The 79th anniversary of India's independence was celebrated

The 79th anniversary of India's independence was celebrated with great joy, dignity and patriotism at Shaheed Dalbir Singh Government College, Kharkhoda on 15 August 2025. On this occasion, the main program was organized under the leadership of the Principal of the college, Dr. Tarana Negi. The entire arrangement of the program was done under the guidance of Dr. Yogesh Bajwan, in-charge of the Special Day Organizing Committee.
The program started with the national anthem and flag hoisting, in which all the teachers, non-teaching staff and students were present. After hoisting the national flag, everyone expressed their respect for the country by singing the national anthem.
Dr. Yogesh Bajwan, in-charge of the Special Day Organizing Committee, in his address, recalled the struggle of the freedom fighters and called upon the youth to actively contribute to the development of the country. He said that we should not see our independence only as a festival, but also as a responsibility.
Principal Dr. Tarana Negi wished everyone present a Happy Independence Day and said that today is a day that reminds us of all that our freedom is the result of the sacrifices of many heroes. She inspired the students to participate in the progress of the country by adopting discipline, hard work and truth in their lives.
